sodium ascorbyl phosphate (vitamin C)
One of the most stable, bioavailable vitamin C's at high concentration. Converts naturally to l-ascorbic acid when applied to the skin (reacts with a natural enzyme in the skin called phosphatase). A potent antioxidant, a key factor in the production of collagen and elastin, can help reverse and prevent photo-damage as well as improve pigmentation problems. As an acid, it also helps improve tone and texture by removing dead skin cells, thereby diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
